Our reflections on Nico Collins in 2021.

Nico Collins wide receiver out of Michigan, six foot four, two hundred and fifteen pounds. Your prototype alpha receiver with 4.44 speed. Some people are worried about his is speed, but Davante Adams ran a 4.56 forty; you're not concerned about Davante Adams right now because he ran a 4.56.

"Nico is very physical."

He has a thirty-seven-and-a-half-inch vertical with thirty-four and one eight-inch arms along with a seven-foot wingspan. Collins averaged nineteen-point-seven yards per reception at Michigan in 2019. Nico was a star in baseball, football, and basketball in high school, with basketball being his sport of choice initially.

Collins is a very physical wide receiver and uses his big frame to box out defenders on slants and comebacks. With his size, he high points the ball well. Good foot quickness and a long stride makes him deceptively fast while being a very smooth athlete. Clean releases means he is going to be an immediate red zone threat. Terrible quarterback play at Michigan means he could be an untapped talent.

Nico Collins doesn't look fast or shifty, but he's going to play on the outside. There is some concern he can be pushed off his path on some routes by stronger cornerbacks.

Scouting Report

Collins is a mid to late third-rounder in rookie only drafts and is going in the 17th round of startups.
