Our thoughts on 2022 NFL rookie Wide Receiver Romeo Doubs.

Measurables:

  • 6'2" 201 lbs

  • Pro day:

  • Between a 4.47 and 4.53 40-yard dash

  • 10'4" broad jump

  • 34 vertical jump

"The high school football equivalent of Thanos!"

Strengths:

  • He has a good height-to-length combo with 10-inch hands (94th percentile), which translated into a 5.8% career drop rate.

  • Doubs possesses sudden acceleration at the line, and he is productive on screens because of his explosiveness.

  • Romeo has excellent footwork on in-breaking & out-breaking routes and provides his quarterback with a throwing window.

  • He averaged 19 yards per punt return and ran back a touchdown on his first college touch.

  • Doubs tallied 19 catches in a single game last year and was top 30 in deep yards and catches.

  • He accounted for 34.9 % of Nevada's 2020 passing output.

  • His quarterback QBR was 130.6 when targeted.

Weaknesses:

  • He is lean and will need to add bulk as he has average strength and can easily be bumped off his route by physical corners.

  • He had several double catches on tape and may need to focus on watching the ball into his hands.

  • We would like better awareness on the sideline and some improvements in his blocking.

  • Continued progression throughout college is always nice to see, and there wasn't a real jump from 2020 to 2021 despite 22 more catches. He only added 107 yards and two touchdowns.

  • He doesn't possess any crazy moves but can do enough to get past defenders.

Scouting Report

As Green Bay Packer fans, how can we not be excited about Romeo Doubs? We do think that he is a better version of Marquez Valdes-Scantling. Maybe not as fast, but he has better hands. Christian Watson is getting most of the attention IN rookie drafts and has seen his ADP increase into the first round. Doubs can still be drafted in the 4th round or even later in some drafts. We recommend you get him before the masses discover him. Someone will need to catch footballs in Green Bay, and there is no reason why I can't be Romeo Doubs.
